Anybody else aware about this website? Family member was talking about it at Christmas. This company mines all the public info they can find on you, creates a profile, and publishes it for whoever looks you up to see. I pulled up mine - past/present addresses, email addresses, employer/salary (way off-wish I made what this site says I do), links to other family members profiles, make and model of what cars I own.
I sent them an email last night telling them to delete my page, and they refused saying if I wanted to have my profile deleted I would need to buy an annual membership that amounts to over $100. Wtf?

Yeah I’ve seen it before, usually cracks me up because it’s either crazy accurate or extremely out of whack

I used to work partially as a collector and you would google people and that website would pop up on people who couldn’t pay their bills and it would say “2.3/6 Below average person” or something like that

At the same time it would say that person brings home 100k-150k annually which was not close to being true

It could not find me. Looks like my anti social media stance is paying off.

Mine says I am married and am worth $250,000 - $500,000.

I wish that were true.

I used to hate having a common name but it pays off these days. I can't ever find myself on these things without entering a bunch of details.

any website that features a loading bar for "gathering known information on the web/dark web" about myself is a joke

at what point does it ask me for money? Because I know it's coining

All the info they have on me is horribly outdated. They have some relatives correct, but the one of my father is correct in name only with a picture of a dude that looks like Rick Ross.

There are literally hundreds of websites that all contain this same info. Spokeo, familytreenow, whitepages, beenverified, and intelius are just a few that advertise. Try it out; you're on there too. Best not to get too worked up. It's a sign of the times.

It's a scam similar to Yelp. If you call Yelp and complain that the negative reviews remain at the top while the positive reviews all load at the bottom of your business' feed, they tell you only paid members can adjust the reviews to make it fair.
