Has anyone said that? It was part of the problem. You're the one who started a thread saying it was not a problem. When your QB doesn't have a passing TD for a full month and you get shutdown by Southeastern for a half, I would say play calling is definitely part of the problem.

Of course not. However, I do believe with some better play calling we would have had a chance to win 2 of those. A couple of defensive stops would have helped too.

You just have meant “poor playcalling wasn’t the only problem with the offense”

You mean the junior transfer qb?
Or do you mean the junior former Blitnekoff award candidate wide receiver?
Or the senior starting running back?
Or the senior starting tight end?
Or Dillon and Sullivan, the other 2 junior wide receivers?

My point was that the play calling was what everyone asked for during the Miles era. LSU just didn't have the players to execute the plays efficiently.

You don’t see how this whole paragraph is kind of at the heart of the issue? Our playcalling didn’t put our players in a position to succeed. Obviously players have to execute and sometimes they don’t, but consistently poor execution throughout the course of a year starts to reflect on the coaching staff.

Doesn't matter what play you call if you can't block.

Can we please stop acting like LSU has the worst o line in all the land. Seriously. It's getting a little old. You're telling me the o line was so bad they couldn't block against Southeastern?

I get it. Our o line play was subpar due to injury etc but let's stop pretending like it's all on them and have an honest conversation about just how many areas of the offense need improvement from play calling to WR drops to poor o line play. It's a mess all the way around.

Thank you for having the balls to post this . Ensminger is mabye 10% of the problem . O line is 80% of the problem . Receivers dropping passes 5%. Running backs other 5%. OFFENSIVE LINE =Our weakest link .

POOR play calling was a problem. Lack of short, quick passes was a problem. Scaredy-cat max protection was a problem.

With these same o-linemen, a savvy, cutting-edge offensive coordinator would have spread it out 4 and 5 wide, called a ton of short passes, including screens; and a good one knows how to teach and develop a good screen game. Ensminger is not a good offensive coordinator.

I'm not the smartest man in the world, but isn't poor o-line the reason for the invention of the spread style offense?
