For all those people who are obsessed with trying to push the narrative of "the pundits predicted 6-6", just stop You have to go all the way back to Gerry DiNardo to find a season in which we won less than 8 games Surely you guys remember the wreck of a football program Saban took over after DiNardo was fired...and we still won 8 games the following season In the last 18 years, LSU won 8 games only 5 times and 2 of those came during Saban's rebuild. You'd have to be dumb as a damn stick to believe LSU was actually going to finish the season 6-6

There's are really people that stupid that believed we would win only 6 games.

I never believed this. But, yes, there were people out there that thought, and predicted we would have that bad of a season.

A lot of those predictions were made before burrow came. They may have not been far fetched

Some people didn’t have faith that Coach O could maintain the team after some particularly bad games last year. 6-6 is a bit hyperbolic but I was definitely in an 8-4 or even 7-5 worst case camp, and admittedly we were a play at Auburn away from 8-4 this year

For the people that actually thought we'd actually finish with only 6 wins, Go to Hell. I'm calling out the members of the Rant that are pushing the narrative of 9-3 is better than 6-6 as if there was really a chance we'd go 6-6

Well, I don't recall any media pundits predicting 6-6.

Peej did, however. Maybe you should thank him.

Really? We won 10 games with Anthony Jennings as our QB

We had a much better stable of backs that year. Might also be worth noting that's before the recent uptick in offensive innovation.

And we were a play at A&M away from being 10-2. And not far away from beating Florida to be 11-1. You can’t claim how close you were to a mediocre season without acknowledging how close you also were to a great season.

2014 was 8-5. Losses to State, AUB, ALA, ARK (17-0), ND.

AUB, Ole Miss, ALA were already RPO/HUNH.

That season could have been far worse with losses to FLA, WISC, Ole Miss, TAMU which were all toss ups.

The people that were predicting us 6-6 were not doing so because of the talent level...

In 2016 we had Fournette and Guice and still won less game than the year Anthony Jennings was our QB

If you mean the talent was there, then I agree. It is complete absurd to think the LSU would only win 6 games Where are all you 6-6 pumpers

That was before Burrow.

It was definitely possible before Burrow.

We weren’t far from being 7-5 honestly.

Auburn could have went either way, State was supposed to beat us but didn’t have the offense and everyone thought Georgia was gonna take care care of us. Nobody could have predicted LSU beating Georgia by 20.
