The 4-1 Lady Tigers Host Kansas In SEC/Big 12 Challenge

quote:

The LSU women’s basketball team kicks off the 2018 SEC/Big 12 Challenge against Kansas on Thursday, November 29 at 6 p.m. CT at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The game is the first of 10 games between the conferences that will be played on November 29 and December 2.
quote:

Sophomore guard Khayla Pointer scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds to lead LSU. Pointer is averaging 12.8 points per game. Her 4.6 assists per game ranks fifth in the SEC.
quote:

Junior Ayana Mitchell currently ranks ninth in the nation and second in the SEC in rebounds per game with a 13.4 average. So far this season, Mitchell has four double-doubles in five games. Her four consecutive double-doubles to start the season matches a feat last made by LSU great Sylvia Fowles in the last four games of her career in 2008.
quote:

LSU’s scoring defense continues to be among the tops in the nation and is currently second in the SEC by holding opponents to 51.0 points per game. The Lady Tigers are doing well against perimeter play with opponents only shooting 20.7 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

Kansas is 5-0 on the season following a 75-44 win over Iona on Sunday.

Patrick Wright and Jeff Palermo will call the game on the LSU Sports Radio Network. Fans can listen in Baton Rouge on Talk 107.3 FM, affiliate KWKH 1130 FM in Shreveport, and audio broadcasts are available online at LSUSports.net/live.

Courtney Lyle and Blair Schaefer will call the game for the SEC Network. The game will be carried on the SEC Network and is available online at SEC Network Plus.

I wish Nikki could recruit just half as good as she looks. LSU would be a sweet 16 team every year.
