The Texans are making a push for a playoff run. Do cowboys fans support the Houston team in the playoffs since they’re in the AFC and still a Texas team? Similar to rangers fans pulling for the Stros to win the World Series?

Everyone the cowboys fans and I’m sure Texans fans are no different.

Maybe in 2005. Sure as hell not in 2017.

I'd imagine Texans fans hate the Cowboys (like everyone else) but Cowboys fans are probably indifferent on the Texans

Always seemed like it’d be a nice rivalry to promote. They should play each other annually.

If the Texans were in the NFC East there would be plenty of hate. Since they aren’t what little hate there is comes from the rivalry between Houston and DFW.

A lot of rangers fans I know were pulling for Houston to win because it would a Texas World Series winner. Just a State pride thing.

I don’t think so. Rooting for a team in your state to win a championship when they aren’t your team doesn’t make you a loser. Of course that is if your team isn’t in the playoffs or had a bad year.

All the Texans fans I know hate the cowboys

The Cowboys fans I know give two shits about the Texans and the Saints bc they are not rivals.

Pretty much this, i wouldn’t think cowboys fans think about the texans at all.

If you are rivals, it certainly does.

Well the rangers and Astros are different than Cowboys Texans. They’re in the same division in the MLB. The boys and Texans aren’t even in the same conference. Not a good comparison.

I’m a cowboys fan and I hope the Texans make a run.

I’m talking about the rangers and Astros. Even before they were both AL.

The comment about cowboys fans not caring about the Texans would be true.

I suspect that most Cowboys fans in Texas would root against the Texans in the Super Bowl, particularly in light of the Astros' success.

Dallas and Houston fans generally don’t root for each other. The Cowboys/Texans thing is tamer since they don’t play each other all the time like Astros/Rangers or Rockets/Mavs. Though the 2010 Cowboys/Texans game was peak NFL trash with all the fights and made the Texans start selling tailgate passes instead of keeping it open

I am a Houston fan and there are few scenarios where I would root for a Dallas team. The Mavs vs the Heatles was probably one though. I was very torn

I could see it if the Astros had stayed in the NL, but once both ended up in the same division any cross-rooting interest would've likely ended.

it does if they're a division rival. I grew up in Arlington and all my friends are Ranger fans and I don't know of a single one who wanted the Astro's to win. in fact most, myself included, were actively rooting against them. you have weird friends

there is nothing but hate and disdain for all things Houston by Dallas folk, and vice versa.
