Not if the whistle blew which I believe it did. That’s why it wasn’t reviewed.

Nope.

You have WatchESPN app? Go watch the replay. There is no whistle until greedy has the ball and runs to the 15

Not if its blown dead. Its called an inadvertent whistle. The offense gets to repeat the down if they want

It wasn't blown dead. We had picked up the fumble and ran over 10 yards with it before the first whistle is blown. The drop/fumble and recovery are all reviewable.

Waving your arms does not equal a whistle. Is your volume on?

How about you watch this. At 12 seconds the ref already has his arms in the air indicating, a stopped clock, dead ball, and obviously a whistle. All before Delpit ever straightens his back, to take off running. An inadvertent whistle killed the play. Nothing to review

In fact, both officials are signaling dead ball on the sidelines

It certainly does to the clock operator.

Again.... the ONLY thing that would make the play not reviewable is an inadvertent whistle. The first whistle isn't blown until waaaaay after the fumble recovery.

Which has nothing to do with the play we're discussing. Not to mention, there is no clock in OT other than the play clock.

Dude. Seriously? That signals the play is dead. It’s a visual in case the whistle goes unheard in noisy environment. The play was over.

His signal clearly means DEAD BALL. You cannot review what happens after a dead ball. So he fumbled. It was still waved off, and no play can be made after that. Period. Its simply not reviewable

If that was Giles fumble and the ref was waving his arms, you bet your arse you would say A&M couldn't recover that dead ball

Ok. And if you want to stick with that, you're still wrong. The ref doesnt start waving his arms until AFTER the ball is fumbled and Greedy has it. Go through it frame by frame, Greedy picks up the ball then the back ref just starts his hand signals.

Regardless, the rule is inadvertent WHISTLE. I was wrong about my hand signal comment, but it's irrelevant.
