Harbaugh is a good coach. It’s cool to dump on him right now, but how many are better? He’s not beating Urbs but no one is capable of consistently doing that either.

There’s a couple tiers imo

Tier 1- Saban
Tier 2- Urban and Dabo
Tier 3- I think Harbaugh lands in here with a couple other guys like Kirby Smart, Lincoln Riley, Brian Kelly, Chip Kelly, Jimbo, Chris Peterson, maybe a few other guys.

The Harbaugh isn’t the guy/overrated takes are dumb. Sure, he’s not a Saban or a Meyer. If you’re Michigan, name a realistic replcement option who would be better?

Michigan is gonna be waiting for Meyer to retire, similar to the SEC waiting for Saban to hang it up.

Nick Saban and Urban Meyer are in a league of their own. It is absolutely foolish to compare and/or strive for your coach to be like them.

It's like calling Botswana a huge disappointment of a nation because it isn't as rich as america. Botswana is an economic success story relative to rest of Africa.

Harbaugh is a good coach. He has drilled out the decay left from hoke and rr.

He is the first mich coach since fielding yost to win 10 games in 3/4 seasons. He has a higher winning % than Gary Moeller and Lloyd carr.

He has made the program respectable again and at least partially relevant.

If he can't make the next step, at least he rebuilt the foundation.

Just because he can't beat one of the handful better than him doesn't make a lot of others better than him.

Not sure. Somewhere above Kirby Smart, but under Ed Orgeron.

What has Harbaugh won? Can't even win his division in the Big10 which I'm continually told is a shite conference.

No way dabo and urban are the same tier.

Urban is closer to saban than he is dabo.

He upset USC when he was in a zero expectation environment so he has that going for him too.

But yea, definitely top 10 coach

I don't know how you can put him higher than the 16-20 range. What makes Harbaugh better than Mark Richt as a college coach? Richt won his division six times. Harbaugh hasn't done it once in eight years as a Power 5 head coach.

Pretty sure OP is talking about Harbaugh’s ranking amongst current coaches. If he were talking about all coaches, don’t you think names like Bryant, Hayes, McKay, etc. would have been included?

His division has urban meyer, the 2nd best coach behind saban

Pretty important detail to leave out.

If harbaugh was in big ten west, he'd have multiple division wins.

Even Malzahn has won the SECW twice with Saban in his division.
