Day 4: we went to what I thought was a restored Viking village but it was really a recreated Viking village. Basically Disneyland. Don't recommend

Also went to a national park and walked to the foot of the glacier.

Day 5: we were back near the golden circle and went to Seljalandsfoss (walk behind waterfall) and a geothermal baths. The baby loved it there!

Day 6: we explored Reykjavik. I wouldn't waste more than 1 day here if you go.

All in all, we loved it. Can't wait to go back and explore more of the island. Just noticed my wife and baby are in that last pic, lol.

Thanks for posting. You have an estimate of the overall cost of the trip?

Great photos! We visited a lot of the same spots you did, and it's amazing how different it looks when it's not covered in ice and snow.

Vik and the black sand beach is one of my favorite things/experiences I've ever done. It's magnificent .

Your pictures were great and I'm glad you enjoyed your trip as I did in August

Spectacular! Did you make it to the Vatnajökull, Europe's largest ice cap?

It’s a great home base for day trips. But there’s plenty to see and do there as well. We did a food tour and saw a show one day, then walked around and explored the next day/night. It’s worth a few days, especially if you go to places and meet/talk to people.

Thanks for the pics and reviews. Love Iceland and can’t wait to go back.
