I was a huge pro-UCF playoff guy last year. And although their team doesn’t look quite as good this year, they are still undefeated and deserve a playoff.
Isn’t that what a playoff is all about? The best way to find out the best teams are to put them head to head?
Whatever team they put in as #4 will get crushed anyways, mine as well feed the machine and let Bama and UCF “square off”

I truly believe that UCF doesn't even want to make the playoffs. They just want to whine about it.
Being exposed by Bama would set thier program back a decade.
They're much better off playing an LSU or a UGA in a bowl game. Taking thier chances
Then they can sell thier undefeated propaganda to the ignorant masses.

That's not the original point/question. I don't know how many times I have to tell you this.
I know why UCF's resume is used against them. But if you actually read the whole fricking post, you see the question is why is it used against them but thrown out in favor of the eye test when talking about other teams.

No it won't. Beating Auburn didn't do anything. There will always be an excuse for why UCF beats somebody.

College football is the only sport on planet earth that uses the eye test, besides sports that have actual judges (boxing, gymnastics, etc).

I don't know why you keep the using the current rules when we're arguing what the rules should be. That's dumb.
Conference champions are determined on the field. That's the whole point of having conferences. But somehow now we don't give a shite and we put whoever the frick we want in the playoff
