Why is UCF’s resume used against them?

I thought it was about the best 4 teams?
Why does resume all of the sudden come up when it comes to them but thrown out the window for other teams?

The best team in the American besides themselves is probably the worst in the entire SEC.
Edit: Its not like their non-con is great Pittsburgh, certainly not UConn, or their cancelled game aginst UNC, none of them are world beaters or count as some marquee win they can use as a measuring stick in the eyes of the committee. They really need Pitt to upset Clemson to have a chance next year if they are undefeated.

Mainly because there’s thousands of ways to judge who’s best. NFL prospect lists being about the worst of them
