I fully support Richard Madden as the next James Bond.

Solid first season all around.

ETA not a Netflix original

Was it the first of multiple seasons?

I enjoyed it but seemed like a 1 season miniseries to me the way it wrapped up.

The way it ended pretty sure it’s just this one season. Excellent show though

They said they are open to another season.

I feel like you could extend it if you just ignore the “body guard” part.

On first episode. Why is David mad at the home secretary?

After watching how well paced Maniac was, I'm starting to warm to the idea of short, one and done miniseries.

Just started this, this is a damn good show. Super tense. I also agree with OP that RM could be James Bond.

I really enjoyed Bodyguard, never thought Richard Madden would’ve had so much range. He could definitely be James Bond. The show must’ve set some sort of record for red herrings.

I’m around 5 episodes in, and no way can I picture him as Bond.
First, he looks like a 14 yr. old boy. And he just does not have the coolness factor.
I don’t see it. Not at all.

In many shows, that ending would have fallen flat. It would have been implausible.

They made it work. Serious credit to Madden for that.

I liked it.

Thought the British Homeland Security gal was hot.

Thought it was well done.

Looking forward to Season II.

Disagree that he would make a good James Bond.

Tom Hardy would bey pick, followed by Tom Hiddleston then Henry Cavill then Sam Hueghan
