I hate when people use "the" when it doesn't apply "the walmart", "the sonic", I guess you can say that's an alternate reference to those specific places.
What about people who refer to their vehicle to the type it is? "I think I left my sunglasses in the bmw".

In similar fashion, I hate when people make titles of things like tv shows, plural (i.e. "Survivors").

If you have a wife and kids you likely have multiple vehicles. At my house we swap up pretty often, usually because someone needs "the pickup".
