How many Bama commits became 5-stars this time?

Lots of Bama commits actually went down a bit.

This doesn't answer my question.

Word on the street is lsu jumped back out in front with Sopsher. But I never trust a Bama lean.

Believe it when I see it.

Kardell dropped to a 4*

As others have said, this happened a while ago, and supposedly because he's a guard and 247 thinks the NFL devalues guards in the draft.

I strongly disagree with the 247 approach to handing out 5* rankings. They give out 32 per year with the goal that a 247 5* guy will translate into a first round pick in the NFL draft. I feel this is just a flawed mentality for a college recruiting website because it forces them to think like NFL personnel guys rather than just rate the best players in a given class. A better goal to me would be to use 5* rankings to project future All-Americans. With the NFL draft model, they have to drop players for things like the position they play and physical stature.

I think Jimmy did an update on Sopsher on their site. I personally think he ends up at LSU because they will do whatever it takes to get him.

You can't look for yourself?

A&M had 2 jump into the top 32 and Michigan had 1.

Marcel Brooks up to #23! Sopher down to #19? I'm guessing he's coming to LSU since he's dropping! About right lol

Isn't Jimmy historically overly optimistic? Maybe not as much as Spiegs, "we gettin' errybody!", but pretty close.

At this point I think it would be Bama is filling up and they value Ika more along with the Sopshers like the 2 for 1 deal with LSU better than the Bama bag man 2 step. Otherwise it's Bama all the way.

Actually he went from 25 to 30 but I guess they made a computer error, he ended up a 23.

No, he'll be the OG opposite Hines plowing holes for Davis and our resurgent inside run game.
