To expand on that, those guys get more points for accurately predicting the decision farther out. So unless they see an imminent commitment to another team, they can leave their initial picks in and get more points if the they end up being correct.
Thats why some people don't change their crystal ball picks until all star games and signing day approach.

This makes no sense. Bama commits deserve a bump because they are committed to Bama? Either a player is a 5 star talent, or he isn't.

247 dropped him in their previous rankings update months ago. The only real change is 247 now has him as the 2nd best Guard prospect. He's still a composite 5-star.
