Converting a gas fireplace to a wood burning fire place

I figured this is a better group than the OT to ask about this. I have a gas fireplace with a flue. I am not adept or crazy enough to do this myself. My question is: who would do such a thing and actually know what they are doing? I am in the BR area if anyone knows someone local.

There are a few places in BR. A gas flume most likely is no more then 8". That will have to be replaced. Then, your firebox might not be rated for a real fire in it.

Try woodburners store. They turned my wood one into gas and were very easy to work with.

Assuming you're not the original home owner, do know for sure it wasn't originally a wood burner that was converted to gas at some point?
Can you get a manufacturer & model number off the fire box? That's where I'd start.
