There is some little country that used to be in the USSR ... it's not mentioned on this thread so far and I can't remember the name. But last week I read that they passed a law banning mosques.
The argument was: 'That's outrageous. It shows that you are hostile to Islam.'
Their response is: 'Yeah, so what's your point?'

Tajikistan? Their law is that you need a government permit to build a mosque. There are 4,000 government funded mosques in the country. They've only banned mosques which operate without a permit.
