Please no.

We would win, but we are opening with them next year.

so what? Why does that change anything?

No way fiesta turns down a chance at two powers

Texas gets into NY6 over Florida. Loss by UF to Mizzou is their undoing.

There are a couple of weeks left, but I don't see Texas ending up in a NY6 bowl. I don't even think they'll beat Iowa State next Saturday.

It would be a good thing. We play them there in 2019, and here in 2020. This would be a best of 2 out of 3 match up. I like it.

Fiesta would be awesome due to the venueZ. Phoenix is awesome.

Highly unlikely Texas makes it as a 3 loss team. If so they would be the first.

OU and West Virginia will be the 2 big 12 teams representing in NY6

Let us assume chalk

That puts Bama, Clemson, ND and Michigan in playoff

That makes for the following:

OU vs. Georgia in Sugar
Wash. St. vs. Ohio State in Rose

Then you have LSU, WVU, UCF and ???? for the Fiesta and Peach bowls

UCF makes sense for Peach so that they can travel well, as does WVU

That puts LSU in Fiesta against ???

I agree Texas isn’t likely to make it, but several other 3 loss teams have.

Fiesta Bowl would actually be pretty cool. Have we even played in that one before?

Not sure Texas can hop Florida in the rankings.

Florida is already ahead of Texas in committe rankings, and neither team has any resume boosters left...Florida has Idaho and FSU left, Texas has IowaSt and Kansas

I guess Iowa State could be a decent win, but is it enough to hop Florida? Maybe, but my guess is no.

Both need Syracuse to lose before the discussion becomes relevant.

Iowa State ranked 18 in latest AP poll

That will get them jump over UF, imo

Florida's best win is against us

Texas' best win is against OU

Who is UF's second best win? Probably Miss. St.

I think with a win over Iowa St., The UT resume will be very similar.

I could be misremembering, but didn't they have a solid showing at the Fiesta Bowl against Baylor?

Plus they were in the Peach last year and bowls prefer to avoid repeat teams if they can.

I hope you are right... i’d Much prefer game vs Texas in Fiesta than UCF/WestVirginia/Syracuse in Peach

My first preference is still Sugar regardless of Big12 opponent, but looking like we’ll need GaTech to beat UGA or Bama to curb stomp UGA for that to happen
