Anyone know a Baton Rouge business that will pre-wire a new home without a contract?

Does anyone know an alarm or wiring company that will pre-wire a new home without requiring a monitoring contract? It seems every company I have called to pre-wire my house for an alarm wants me to sign a 36 month contract for the pre-wire. I had one company give me a no-contract price, and they wanted about $1800 to do it. The sales guy basically said they jack the price so I’d sign a contract. The last house I built was about 8-9 years ago and I paid $400 for a no contract pre wire. I get that prices have risen but $1800 seems ridiculous for about 20 openings. I’m not certain I’m going to have it monitored locally but I want the wiring in place anyway.

My amigo Jose will do it real cheap. Stop by the Home Depot parking lot later

Talk to an installer or an electrician.
The actual grunts doing the work, tend to like side work, making extra cash, and won't try to stick it up your rear.
They will come out after work, or on a weekend morning and get it done.

Simplisafe.com
Amazing, no wires, cheaper, no long term contracts.

The problem is I do not know any installers. My electrician does not do it.

I am fairly certain that I will go with simplisafe. But I still want the house pre-wired as i plan to live there for a while. It’s usually a small investment up front that I may use years down the road.

These guys did the pre-wire in my new house about 9 months ago. Maybe give them a shot.

You might check with Alarm Center in Baton Rouge. They do work across the 9parish area, and they were pretty accomodating to my requests.

Certified Alarm did mine 2 years ago for around $400 I think. Then I ended up using Custom Security for my monitoring.

Are your walls still open? If so, DIY. Just run all wires to location where you want panel. Make sure to label wires. It is not that difficult.
