would you be opposed to someone coming in to help him scheme against teams? Especially Bama? Simple question.

And do you think O and SE would seek out help with their scheme?

People should already know I want a new OC. I'm just asking a question to the people who still want SE.

The idea, originally, was for Ed to get the best coordinators to help carry him along. Now we need help for the helpers?

I understand. And I agree with you. You know I want a new OC.

This is for the people who want SE another year. Could SE use help with his scheme?...

I don't know that anyone has said they are crazy about him and want him to stay.

there are a lot of fans like me who state that we can't make an effective judgment as per this one year and the circumstances.

also, I think it's universal that we wouldn't mind finding another OC if he's the right guy. certainly no one in their right mind would mind any help we could get.

We already have people helping him scheme. Sullivan is our passing game coordinator. We also have plenty of analysts who provide him with insane amounts of data on every new opponent.

It doesn't matter. Ensminger isn't an OC and our statistics and lack of improvement reflect that.

Serious question- is there anyone on here with big time connections that can put a bug in the ear of some higher ups? Get the ball rolling on pressuring Ed to make a change? I like E and appreciate his efforts. He loves the school and is a tiger forever. I'd like him to stay on but in his old role.

None of this is dependent on my input or opinions. We are all by standers observing the process.
If I were to worry about coordinators, I’d be more worried about Arandas replacement.

I didn't say it was. This is a message board. We are giving opinions. I guess you don't have one. That's fine.

LSU is making this so hard. All to cover for a head coach with no real strengths on offense or defense.

It’s all patchwork to accommodate Ed 0.

“ now we need help for the helpers “

Our numbers on offense are worse than those of the guy we fired at the end of last season. What’s even more disturbing, is that our offensive numbers are worse than those produced in 2015. So, in 2 2/3 years we haven’t improved a lick on offense and in fact, we have regressed.

Hopefully, that will improve in our next three games which should be walk over wind.

O really isn't the problem. He a great recruiter and DL coach. He just needs to gtfo of the way of his DC and OC. That just means he has to make elite hires at those two positions. Aranda is a check in one box. Ensminger is not. That change needs to happen then let's see how it goes.

Just move Steve E back to TE coach. I mean we are at the bottom of the nation in offense. That has been the case for most of the last 10 years. Its time to stop this madness. If LSU wants to compete with the Clemsons and the bamas it has to modernize. LSU is running the exact offense Bama was running 8 years ago until Saban got tired of getting gased by the spread offenses. He made the move. LSU needs to do the same. Another year of this crap offense has to stop! I understand loyality to your friends but that has got alot of LSU coaches fired in the past! Coach needs to make this change! and putting up numbers against the next 3 teams shouldnt change what needs to be done!

Then why wasn’t Canada given more than 1 year?

Bingo. Then he went out and got the best players to run that offense and now has the #1 offense in the fricking country. This LSU administration can go frick themselves.

The point of the thread was to get people to admit that scheme is important and SE and O are currently trying to get better in their scheme. But nobody seems to want SE next year, so I guess the thread is moot.

It's a legit question, so I'm not sure why they've downvoted. I'm interested in making LSU Offense great, and I welcome any means. Alleva claims one of his strengths is in coaching the coaches. Perhaps he will force them to seek assistance. Whatever it takes, man, I'm onboard.

Then the analysts are failing miserably.
