Best surprisingly good movies in recent memory?

I'm not talking about high budget movies that were highly public, rather movies that did not receive all that much publicity before they came out, that ended up being really really good.
I'm sure I could think of something better, but for me Kingsman fits that. I went into that movie not knowing anything about it, don't think I had heard much about it either prior to its release, but really enjoyed it.

John Wick. Thought it was going to be a completely dumb movie about a guy getting revenge for someone killing his dog. Turned out to be a completely awesome movie about a guy getting revenge for someone killing his dog.

Sad but, I had no idea what Guardians of the Galaxy was about before I saw it. So, definitely surprisingly good.

Inside Llewyn Davis
John Wick and Equalizer (I'm not a Bourne Identity kind of guy, but I love these two franchises)
Ex Machina
What We Do in the Shadows
The Man from Uncle

GOTG--We had zero intention on watching it. We watched it because we literally couldn't think of anything else. Great surprise.

The Way Way Back. Maybe it was publicized a lot and I just didn't see it, but I don't think I had seen anything about it before I was able to rent it off the cable box

Dredd.
I thought it would suck and couldn't figure out why they rebooted a Stallone disappointment. Watched it on Netflix one time because I was bored and had nothing else to do. It shocked me by being really good.
