I agree. The press needs to hold politicians accountable, but there is doing that and there is flat out being rude which Acosta was.

It's not that he's being rude, it's that he's trying to use his position to interject himself into political topics by being boisterous, preachy, and intentionally confrontational. That's not what a journalist is supposed to do.

the playbook is
1. be super inflammatory
2. get trump to be inflammatory back
3. claim you're (a) resisting an authoritarian as (b) he attacks the press because (c) he has something to hide and is scared you're going to expose it
it's essentially a conspiracy theory-based media
