Are we to the point that it doesn’t matter WHO the candidate is...

...but rather rhe letter beside their name?

For a lot of people, yes.

No. Look at the difference between Texas Gov and Senator.

I won’t vote for a democrat in a national election. Local elections I might depending on their position on things but giving those lunatics power over the entire country is a bad idea. Look how fricked up 8 years of Obama made the US

Obama already proved that
Abrams and Gillum getting 47%+ just confirmed it

I will never ever vote for a Democrat. That being said, I would chose not to vote at all if I don’t agree with the candidate...

You realize all these people have to win party primaries?

That’s voting for a skin color not a letter

I think we drove off that bridge with Teddy Kennedy, if not before.

I am 41. I have noticed this to be a huge problem my entire adult life. This is in no way a new situation.

Been that way for a long time
Pretty sure this is exactly why Washington didn’t want political parties
The political machines of the early 1900s and late 1800s and this current climate reaffirms my belief that a two party system is a suboptimal system we allow ourselves to be trapped in

Alabama sent a Democrat to Congress last year because the republican was so bad.
Hope we unselect Doug Jones in 2 years.

That plus the race/gender of the candidate.
Florida and Georgia were a hair away from somehow electing two of the most radical socialist lunatics governors in the entire country solely because they were black.
Elections in multi-racial societies are not about ideas but are instead just a racial headcount.

I just wonder if I will live to see the split between blacks and suburban women. Will there ever be a black party? The libertarians have cost the GOP enough elections, it would be nice to see it happen to the Democrats.

Yeah, but human nature is gonna human nature.
It's inevitable.

Welcome to a parliamentary system.
You know, the type of system where you have multiple parties that people claim to want.

If this happens the Democratic Party would crumble...
