Last Wednesday, I took one hell of a spill. Happens a few times a month. Anyway, the wife took me to the ER and x-rays show no break. I been using a walker all this time to get around the house. Pain has dropped some, but still hurts. I am able to stand on my left leg now, but if I try to walk, my hip gives out all together. I have one hell of a bruise on my hip.

Question, with no breaks, why I still can not walk?

Thanks.

Joints and ligaments typically have small amounts of blood flow to them and heal slowly.

That and you're an old geezer

He is old. The frequent falls would worry me. That's a broken hip waiting to happen.

He needs to get in the pool or something and do an exercise that's safe to build up some leg strength again. Once the legs go it's a fast downhill slope.

Frog, just a few beers. Still sucks the big one. Had a bag fall a few months ago on my right hip. This one is 10X worse.

this is the best advice he will get. OP should order a small hydropool hot tub immediately.

You've come to the right place.

Go watch the Forrest Gump documentary, he had a similar issue and ended up running and running and running.

I feel like a creep but I think he said he was 61 in another thread? That’s not that old. Maybe I’m mistaken.

As far as hip there’s plenty of docs here to help better than me.

Oh, reason of me falling is that my BP does down very fast with any movement. I have a bad ticker. Sometimes my pacemaker doesn't kick in fast enough. Been adjusted many times with no help there.

Might have torn a Labrum the soft tissue that helps hold your femoral head(hip ball) in the socket.

Heavy squats and deadlifts 5x5 is the only way back. Plus get on those peptides.

Yes, 61. I'm 6', weight is 164 this morning. Not a person to sit still if I feel ok.

Last fall, Doc did a CT scan. He told me a X-ray most of the time don't show a fracture. He gave a roid shot, all was good. Only had a very small bruise then. I was able to walk on it after that fall.
