If he turned sideways next to a street sign, you won't see him anymore, and you want to put him in against Bama for his first reps?

Ready for what?
No he's not ready. The plan is obviously to red-shirt him. Players are red-shirted because they're not ready.

By the time Brennan is a red shirt junior, he will be another 20lbs heavier. He has a better arm than Burrow, just needs to physically develop. He has a higher ceiling than Burrow as a passer.

Mack Wilson will snap Brennan in half. He sits the bench until he no longer looks like he has an eating disorder.

Like, for victory formation?

Dumb? What if Burrow goes down? I just would feel better knowing Brennan is sufficiently prepped to go if needed. The dumb ones are those that think Burrow is invincible.

Brennan is definitely ready and obviously more ready than Scott, Mcmillian or Narcisse were or they wold still be here. Brennan played in 6 games last year because Canada thought he was the best qb. When Burrow committed it only made sense to redshirt Brennan and that call will pay off long term dividends because he has the highest ceiling of any of the qbs over the last few years. This weight thing everyone is so concerned about is the same thing the nay sayers said about Jared Goff. I would take that comparison any day.

Just out of curiosity, how do you know this?
If Brennan was ready, why do you think the coaching staff immediately ran out after spring practice looking for a transfer?

Could it be that the other qbs saw the writing on the wall and knew they were not going to start over Brennan. If they thought they would be the starter or the primary back up and be one play away from being the starter they would not have ever left!! Brennan will be ready when it's his turn whether it's Saturday or next year. One thing I have confidence in and that is he's not running away. He will stay and earn his spot on the field.

I've heard this from other posters. Do you know something? Or could you elaborate on why you have this opinion?genuinely curious.

Can he improve, sure. But usually, if a guy is a stud QB, they show it early, and we're not seeing it. This isn't always the case, and I'd love to be proven wrong, but I just don't think he's got it from what I've seen.

Stop showing your ignorance. That's the most redidiculos thing I have ever read. I guess you thought Narcisse was a beast, a man amongst boys and McMillan was the next Michael Vick. Where are they now? Forever in obscurity. At least Brennan stayed to fight for his position. He is a Tiger at heart. More than I can say about you.

Give me a break. You are basing your whole opinion on a spring game? On a controlled practice? On practice? You might be more touched than I thought.

And no, I thought all three of our spring QBs were bad.
And because I have an opinion about one of our players that differs from yours, I'm not a "Tiger at heart?"
That's interesting, since I grew up in BR, went to (and graduated from) LSU, and have been a diehard Tiger fan my entire life. But ok, if you say so.

Do you think anybody on here knows a thing? He might be more ready than any QB we’ve had since Mett and still not get to play because Burrow is beyond ready. Brennan will play after this game with redshirt intact.
