Is he ready to go if needed or are we putting all the eggs in one basket. I hope he's been getting plenty of reps.

Have you watched a single game this season?

Yeah, dumbass. Why the frick you think I'm concerned? It's a legit question better answered by someone who knows something unlike yourself.

The answer is no, he's not

Only an idiot would think LSU should consider going to Brennan without an injury forcing that move.
ETA, if an injury does occur, Brennan is not ready.

I don't think the OP suggested that

Just out of curiosity, how do you know this?

He looked scared in the spring game against his own team that wasn't allowed to hit him. I can't imagine what he would look like against bama.

I mean, unless he somehow regressed from last year, I'm not sure how this can be true.

We don't know this. It's not like Myles has never taken a snap before. I'm sure he is itching to play but understands that longer term, the redshirt helps the team and him.
If we lose Saturday, we are eliminated from the SEC championship game, but not necessarily the CFP. I suspect then with 3 games plus the bowl that Myles will get to play against Arkansas late and against Rice a lot in the second half.
If we win, Myles won't see the field in 2018 unless we are blowing out A&M because we can't risk the redshirt with up to three post-season games still ahead of us.

I'm not sure how anyone would really know how to answer that honestly. Reading between the lines, we went out and got a grad transfer after spring ball instead of naming him or the other two QBs who transferred out as our starter. That would tell me he isn't exactly "ready" to play, at least not at a very high level. But that's our only option at this point if (god forbid) Burrow were to go down.

Yes we have put all our eggs in the burrow basket. This is not some oversight or bad call. The coaching staff has gone all in on brennans redshirt in order to stabilize the qb position long term with the best qb, Burrow or Brennan taking the job in next year. If brennan has to go in this game because of a major injury we will look to the long term and will protect him and either continue to pound it if we are up or safe passes with favorable pass blocking schemes if the game is still within reach. Under no circumstances will they put this game on Brennan's shoulders even with injury to burrow.

He basically answered his own question. Which is I asked if he has watched any games. He has not had any meaningful reps in a single game this season. Yeah he gets reps at practice but there is a difference between game reps and practice reps.
Wasn't trying to be an arsehat OP, just kind of a silly question.

Watch it man I was almost banned earlier this year for even mentioning our backup QBs name

Which, to be honest, is pretty refreshing. I'm not used to the starting QB being our best QB on roster.
