Nope. He does not have the power to do that and he's not even trying.

Illegal immigration is the target and that has ZERO to do with the 14th.

Liar. Did you even bother to read the article? Or do you only read the fake news articles that you peddle everyday

When was I ever trying to destroy it? That's how indoctrinated you are. You just assume that liberals have been against the Constitution and it conservatives have been for the Constitution. Well here's an example of how fricking wrong you were this entire time, and you're attempting a weak-arse gotcha. Lol. Nice

We can have this conversation as soon as you educate yourself completely. After that then maybe you can try to compare the attempt to ending Birthright citizenship and the most egregious of Obama executive orders.

WTF does your link prove? Obama lost in the courts more than any president in recent memory.

quote:

The Obama administration has fared worse before the Supreme Court than any other modern president’s administration, with a 45 percent win rate, according to an analysis by Ilya Shapiro, a fellow in constitutional studies at the libertarian Cato Institute, and editor-in-chief of the Cato Supreme Court Review. Obama’s last five predecessors had a win rate of between 60-75 percent before the high court, according to Shapiro.

The 14th Amendment, passed after the Civil War, specifically says that "all persons born or naturalized in the United States are citizens." The Supreme Court has upheld this rule for legal permanent residents, but has never decided a citizenship case involving an illegal immigrant or a short-term visitor to the U.S.

How about you read your own damn link?

Lol. Oh really? So it only pertains to people coming from other countries, having a child here, and then that child being American? No shite Sherlock. I'm glad we got the "American citizens children are American" part out of the way. Lol

Apparently you do not understand the 14th Amendment. It was not written to give citizenship to children born to parents who came into the US illegally.
Search Dan Bongino. Listen to his podcast, so he can educate you. It will not take long unless you are slow.

Trump wants to disregard the 14th Amendment with an executive order.

That's rich.

Saying the 14th Amendment grants birthright citizenship to anyone other than slaves is disregarding the Constitution. Foreign nationals, especially those here illegally, do not qualify... and never did until liberals disregarded it in the 1960s.

Try again.

But it's not. Never has been.

It’s the perceived law. It has never been challenged to exclude babies born to non citizens. That is what path we will be headed towards eventually. Trump and team are reading the 14th as the author of the bill meant for it to be read, and soon the Supreme Court will rule on it once it makes its way to them. You can bet it will end up there.

Good Lord. Another thread by another NPC spouting talking points on topics in which they are completely ignorant. No point pointing out the flaw in your ignorant statement AGAIN. Today. Just get your sky scream out and move on.

The problem conservatives have with the 14th is the overly broad application of it by activist courts.

I always notice your reply is some variation of how smart you are and how dumb the person you’re replying to is, even though you have essentially devolved to just hurling our insults for you and your kind back at us, so my question is this, is there anyone on here you aren’t unequivocalally smarter than in your mind?

The 14th amendement was specifically written, and should be interpreted as such, in the context of recently freed black slaves. Period. THAT WAS THE TARGET POPULATION THE AMENDMENT WRITERS HAD IN MIND.

There is a reason suffragists lost in court trying to use 14th amendment to give them voting rights....the courts knew that women WERE NOT the target population of 14th amendment.
