And it isn’t getting easier

If Wilson gets bounced he’s a no brainer right?

Think of the recruiting with O and wilson at LSU

Assistant Athletic Director if he wants it. At least until Tommie Robison's contract is up.

I was thinking of him taking Mickey Joseph spot or let Sullivan retire.

Letting Mickey go would cause a lot of problems w/ HS Coaches. Still, think we need Sullivan for when Brennan steps in.

I think Tommie wants to get back to the NFL.

Bringing back Frank a N.O. native would soften the blow of losing Joseph with the Nawlins HCs.

Wilson is a great recruiter and good coach. I would absolutely find somewhere to put him in the program if he became available.

I'm not saying Frank will be available to be on staff here any time soon, but do you honestly believe that getting rid of Mickey Joseph to bring in Frank Wilson would cause high school coaches to be upset?

That's absurd.

Don’t stop him, he’s on a roll today.

Yes, because coaches don't see it like that. Coaches are going to see you dogging one black coach for another. I.e. Mickey stepping in after Jabbar.

They'd rather see Sullivan go.

At a program like UTSA, I would say that is a VERY LARGE “IF” statement.

In 2016, FW led them to their first ever bowl bid. Finished 6-7 (lost to New Mexico in Bowl game)
In 2017, he led them to their first victory over a Power-5 school (Baylor). Finished 6-5.

Just because he started 3-5 does not put him on the hot seat at UTSA. FTR, 3 of the 5 losses were to Big-12 schools.

Conference USA: “It just means LESS there.”

I’m wondering what Robinson is bringing to the table.

He isn’t the primary on any big re riots and Wilson could probably step in and more than replace him.

Wilson is definitely an upgrade IMO.

But Robinson is a CEO guy. He's probably never had to work this hard in recruiting. It's an adjustment coming from Pac-12 and Big 12.

What does any of them being black have to do with anything?

Whether you like it or not, in New Orleans and BR, it has a lot to do with everything.

The black coaches are from or have roots in the same areas from where they recruit.

* Kansas's Tony Hull
* Alabama's Burton Burns

O hired Frank from OP Walker. He also went up to UT for Kiffin's year.
Frank's not getting fired from UTSA because he's been successful his other years there but if he's available somebody on this staff is making space for him.

This makes me wonder if you actually know who Frank Wilson is.

Never said Frank wasn't a CEO guy. My point is that CEO isn't going to fire Robinson for Wilson.

If Wilson was available today, I think we would offer him Assistant AD. Sullivan is year to year.

I don't think he deserves to get fired either, but he needs to make some good assistant hires this offseason.

He's got 2 former DL coaches now in the NFL, a former DC at Alabama, among other coaches that he's lost to bigger programs. It's hard to keep replacing them with good up and coming coaches, especially at a school that likely has a limited budget.
