Everybody knows who Wilson is like everybody knows who Burns is.

That's not the point. Like I said, ideally, HS coaches would want both Frank and Mickey. Sullivan would probably be out since he's year to year.

Robinson left a highly rated USC job to join CEO at LSU.

Frank is his own man now; has his own program.

That being said, CEO would fight for him to join the LSU staff if it came to that.

Ideally, I would like to have won the Mega Millions.

But it's a fools errand to make personnel decisions based on the feelings of a group of hs football coaches who, let's face it, aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.

If they can only see skin color and hometown when it comes to Mickey Joseph and not the fact that he doesn't actually do any coaching because he can't be trusted to, then why should their opinions matter anyway?

Besides, there is more talent coming out of Baton Rouge than New Orleans nowadays, and the coaches in Baton Rouge don't try to band together and make idiotic demands on who should be on LSU's staff.

Sullivan is retiring. One year deal.
He's here like Jenkins was to work with the position as much as the position coach (Sullivan-Joseph) (Jenkins-Meatball).
So there is going to be an opening on the staff. Predetermined. Whether Wilson gets another year at UTSA is TBD. I think if he's cut loose, he's a natural fit to come back to coaching with Orgeron. Perhaps initially as an "offensive assistant" (same title as Sullivan) and see what happens with Robinson when his contract is up after next year.

I don't think he deserves to get fired either, but he needs to make some good assistant hires this offseason.

Agree. Both his OC hires have been pretty long in the tooth. Doug Meachem was thrown under the Kansas bus but he's a Texas guy and might be a coup for a school like UTSA.

Tommie Robinson is really good at developing running backs but recruiting running backs is still in development.

He's delivered a pretty good running game this year. Better he virtually everyone thought possible.

Frank Wilson is not going anywhere. He will have a great season next year!

Agreed. OP should have some some research instead of just looking at record and making a wild assumption. 3 of the 5 losses were “expected” against Big-12 teams. They used the schedule this year to pay their bills in full with big checks from Big-12.

Also Wilson in no way returns to LSU in a lateral move back to RB or WR coach, or even recruiting coordinator. He’s already been here, done that. Taking the HC job at UTSA is to launch his career moving upward.

I’m wondering what Robinson is bringing to the table.
I think he's a good RB coach. Recruiting...not so much.

How about exceeding expectations with on the field performances of his group, the running backs?

Yes, because coaches don't see it like that. Coaches are going to see you dogging one black coach for another. I.e. Mickey stepping in after Jabbar. They'd rather see Sullivan go.

Then two fu€king bad. That’s a “black coaches” problem. Not an LSU problem. Frank Wilson over Mickey is not even a debate.
