I was in the Air Force with a guy whose last name was Dick his first name was Alan.

In the Air Force jobs are/were signed off in the aircraft forms using the first inital of your first name and your last name ... he would sign his jobs off A. Dick

Not sure if you're in the nola area, but there is a Dick Kuntz. Old guy, former soldier. Kind of a badass. Real nice guy, though.
Also, pronounces the last name "koonts"

my uncle is named Richard Leak and goes by Dick. I am honest to God telling the truth on this one. My other uncle wanted to name his son with a V name and a D name. My dad finally said having the initials VD Leak would probably be problematic.

I would rather my son be Dick than Canyon or Jaxen or Brayden.

Maybe because they are not offended by the antics of a pre pubescent boy, which you seem to be.

Knew a co worker named Dick, had a flaccid personality until he was excited about a project. He was quite rigid in his debates.

One of my best friends goes by Rich but he's really a dick. Somehow his mother knew too.

I think its pretty common that people named Richard are real dicks, metaphorically speaking.

Back in my college days there was a couple at our church named Richard and Francis. They got up and gave some sort of testimony about their marriage about how Francis had to wait a long time to date Richard. I leaned over to my buddy and said "Francis waited a long time for dick but she finally got it."

I guess he didn't expect it because he completely lost it laughing in church. I laughed a good bit too but acted like I had no clue what was going on.

I'm a heathen.
