It was St. George's Episcopal School and they did have a crossing guard so this guy must have hit the throttle to beat the woman crossing guard and mother/son crossing. It looked pretty bad.

Very few kids walk to school anymore in New Orleans. They are either bussed all over town to equally crappy public schools or car pooled/driven to private and parochial schools. A neighborhood school hardly exists and kids walking to school almost non-existent.
