Any recommendations? I’m thinking of going with Ardoin because he’s already doing the job but Julie Stokes seems pretty good.

Ardoin will get my vote. He is a good man, not a politician, and nowhere near corrupt. And like you said, he is doing a good job in the role today.

Anyone but Ardoin, he’s been using the office to make his name more known since he got in. Not a fan.

I’m probably going to vote for Rick Edmonds, but I’m not confident in that vote yet. In races like this with no-names, even the smallest issues become big turnoffs.
ETA: I second what people are saying about Ardoin. I’m sorry, but if you are running for a seat that has control over elections and you don’t see a conflict of interest issue when basically promoting yourself at the taxpayers expense, you aren’t the right person for the job.

I'm voting for Matt Moreau because I know his sister, brothers and parents. He's a good dude and has no party affiliation. I like that. Plus he's from Zachary so he has to be good people.

I think I’ll vote for Ardoin, but I could certainly be convinced otherwise. My motivation is simple. He’s an R. He’s got the best chance of winning as the incumbent. Ergo. The best chance to avoid having a Democrat count our votes in the next Gubanatorial election. I don’t trust a Democrat counting votes or money.

I think I am voting for Cloud too. Like LSURussian said in the other thread I can't pass up the opportunity to vote for someone that is the Mayor of Turkey Creek.

Serious question. Hows is that unlike any incumbent? Look, maybe he's the person who leaked that the former SOS was kind of bad at trying to pick up women (who knows), but it's not his fault Schedler resigned. Should he not use the fact that he is a quasi-incumbent in his campaign?

I ended up going with AG Crowe. I heard him on the radio a couple of weeks ago and he seemed like he had some good ideas. I heard nothing from the others though so I didn't have anything to compare.

Ardoin. He’s a good guy who loves his family and knows that office well. The other candidates are just using it as a stepping stone to some other office.
