What specifically has changed that I need to keep in mind?
And by "changed" I'm referring to what wasn't obviously likely to change "over the past few weeks."
I guess what I'm trying to say is there's been absolutely nothing that's happened over the past few weeks that has changed my opinion about my investments or my prospective investments.

Isn't that because you aren't a trader like he is?
I would say the full 180 reversal on interest rate hikes and balance sheet normalization is a pretty big deal. I'm pretty sure futures are pricing in a higher probability of a rate cut in 2019 than any increases. We've also had several key components of the DOW and S&P lower their earnings guidance.
This is subjective, and while I agree with you that most of this stuff was obvious, it was pretty clear that the markets didn't think so.
