Definitely pursue charges. I had my debit card skimmed and had to fight to get the police department to take my report. They ended up catching the two guys and they had over 30 stolen credit and debit cards

It should all be on camera. File a reprort and and ask to see camera footage for when transaction happened. Target let me do this. Some big fat you know what had it. Crimestoppers maybe could help identify thief. God I hate thieves.

Sam's is not going to do anything.

Your bank will fight the battle with them.

Someone stole from you and you wont file a report?

But yet you say you want to know who did it?

People like you suck for abusing credit card companies.

Its YOUR fault the card was stolen

I am confused and I guess different credit card companies don’t handle this the same way.
I have had my number stolen multiple times and used multiple places. I get a call asking if I made the purchase. Once I verify what purchases were not mine they just tell me I am not responsible for them and they issue me a new card.
There isn’t any reimbursement. This should rest solely on Sams.

Already talked to credit card company and they are going to refund the amount in a week or so.

But I wanna know who the frick did this. Sams says I need to file a police report before they will do anything.

Should I pursue or just say frick since Im getting my money back?

It's not your money, it's the credit card companies money.

Was it exactly for$3500?
If so, they bought gift cards.

Further, my guess is that it was an employee involved incident.

Interesting. I just bought a $3500 TV off a guy in the Sam's club parking lot.

Small world.

It was probably someone less fortunate than you. Think of it as reparations

If you don't file a police report, you are letting scuz get away with it.

Don't be that person.

I had someone make some fraudulent charges on my bank card at a local store recently. They also tried to do it at a few drug stores but my bank caught it in time and deactivated my card. When I called my bank they told me that they had been having a lot of issues with this recently and that it was due to a security breach that occurred a while back. I was assuming that breach was with the bank but they didn't go into detail where it occurred. The bank said that the criminals get your banking information and get a "comp card". From what I understood it sounded like they basically pretended to be me and ordered an extra banking card. They said it definitely wasn't from a skimmer or from ordering online. I specifically asked my bank if I should report the fraudulent charges to the police and was told no, that they would handle that, and that the police wouldn't do anything about it if I reported it myself. All I had to do was file some paper work with the bank and was told that I would almost certainly be reimbursed for the charges.
