Well, it's obvious then -- get with your kitchen staff and set up a hobby drug dealing ring.
Solid idea

If you have a close relative who is a DEA agent, you can get an outstanding meth business going for almost nothing.

I’ve honestly thought about trying to learn to play for extra income. I’ve never played before, but I’m great at Yahtzee, and it’s pretty much the same, right? My math skills are in the 99.5 percentile so that has to help. And I’m retired so I could devote some serious time to learning and working my way up. And I blow lots of money on far less noble pursuits. Any time I walk into the casino I’m going to lose $100-200 in a slot machine anyway.
Hit me up, Tyga - we’ll become rounders.
i can teach you for a reasonable rate

I would play with long term options.
Look up some calls for stable companies about 18 mo. out. Set your sell price at 25%, 40%, or whatever you want. Then go after the next target.
Example KO (CocaCola) is trading around $45 today.
Look at the options chain on RobinHood and click on "calls"
Go out to around June of 2020 and see how much it would cost to buy the $55 call option.
Buy a few, and set them to sell at 30% gains or whatever you choose.
So you're buying the option, not the stock. The option moves a lot faster, but mirrors the stock.

Buy, sell, & trade hard to get wine and beer. Grow a huge cellar and profit.

This could actually play well with his restaurants as well. He probably has some decent hook ups with his distributors. I have a friend that accidentally got into this and has done well.

Why not buy all or a fractional share in a promising stud/filly?
How do you get into this?

Add whiskey to that list. The market is insane right now for allocated bottles.

Commodities.
Uranium looks really interesting right here.
A Section 232 petition has been filed with the Feds. Currently only 4% of the uranium used by US nuclear power plants is mined in the US. (About 40% comes from Russia and Kazakhstan) If the Section 232 petition is granted the feds could require up to 25 percent of the uranium used would have to be source from within the US.
Additionally, Japan is starting to reactivate their nuclear reactors and China and India are in the process of building reactors.
Marin Katusa says it better than me.

Yahtzee is a dice game - complete luck. Poker is a skill game

Buy a website making money. How they value those things are ridiculous.

Best hobby in the world. $2 box of 1990's Batman action figures turned into $75 by the end of the same day this weekend. All I had to do was walk down the street. The high from flipping is greater than any high I've ever earned from a Paycheck.

Pick up a new hobby that is free/cheap, and save the difference to buy a rental property.

Have you tried this advice you're giving out? There aren't any KO monthly options available past June 2019. So June 2020 is a no go. You can get the leaps as far out as 2021.
Where do you get $55/share for KO from? I looked at a 5 year chart and unless it is wrong, KO hasn't cracked $50.
If this gentleman follows your advice and gets the June 19 KO 55 calls at 14¢. He is supposed to sell them for a 4¢ profit? After buying a few? He would need the bid to move up 50% from where it is today to get 18¢.

IMO- You're not going to be happy giving up an outdoor hobby that requires concentration and skill to sitting in front of a computer day-trading with $600 a month.
Suggestion: Cabinetry. Look at what World Market charges for crap furniture. Start small. 2nd hand table saw and miter saw, harbor-freight nail gun, estate sales or internet for planes, etc. Practice. Sell hand crafted tables and armoirs.
Upholstery is another money-maker.
