When did Middle America lose its Voice? *Long AF*

The Large Liberal/Progressive Markets with MSM hubs in select cities on the East and West coast have had the privilege of being able to speak for the rest of the country with little to no resistance. They all run in their posh progressive little circles and only hear the same like minded people voice opinions to which the rest of the country gets lumped into.
They believe that if they (local populous) want something to be a certain way, Middle America wants it that way as well because they see what everyone around them wants and if everyone around them wants it, it must mean everyone in the country wants it.
The “Void” (between the East and West coast) at some point in time, decided that they would just settle for the hands they were dealt and just go with the flow. They started electing politicians based off of TV and Radio ads instead of electing politicians who held the same beliefs and values as they do. Then the Lobbyists moved in and started buying votes. In comes a newly elected official and misrepresentes its citizens because the platform they ran on was complete bullshite and they have been put in place to change the rule of law and the optics of social acceptance.
The following election year comes around and low and behold, the same crooks get voted into office because either a commercial told them so, it’s a name that looks familiar or because they just push a button on Election Day instead of properly educating themselves on current events and the effects/repercussions of not knowing what you are voting on.
Now that “The Great Awakening” is taking place, we all look around and wonder what the hell happened and how did we get here.
We are questioning things that wouldn’t have even caught our eye, much less raised alarm.
If the events that are taking place before our very eyes are not enough to make people take a step back and realize how important our Republic is and the danger it is in, then we are doomed as a free nation. We have been given a second chance to take corrective action and if we all take our civic duty for granted we will become irrelevant to the rest of the world and enslaved to globalist scum

To be fair, small town Americana is caught in its own bubble. But let's look into the makeup of mass media. The truth is that mostly liberal minded people are attracted into fields like journalism and broadcasting. The end result is the majority of media outlets lean Left. Rush is very popular, but the reason for that is due to a lack of conservative interests in social/mass media.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here. You are correct in that Middle America has it's own unique voice and concerns. However, conservatives have given alot of ground as well. Issues like restriction on MJ, gay marriage, single motherhood etc. that were once hot button issues they fought against are no longer seen as important by the GOP.

Both sides are guilty of this. This has several reasons
1) people too lazy to look into local politics.
2) lobbyist $ persuades them to make policies suited for companies and not the people.
Corporatism and Consumerism are not Capitalism. They are byproducts of it that when left unchecked, create the conditions we have today.

It's long, but I don't think it reaches AF status.

Okay, I have a weird hobby. I like to find and collect old radio broadcasts. I’m not talking just old radio shows, but news, speeches, sports, etc. I have thousands of hours worth of this stuff.
Anyway, I’ve listened to a ton of FDR’s speeches. I’m not saying this is where it started, but it is definitely one of the places it started. During the Great Depression, Roosevelt really pushed the line that regular people were incapable of recovering from the Depression and taking care of themselves without government assistance. FDR was truly a socialist hack who used the Great Depression to push his agenda. His first inaugural speech is scary as frick. Don’t just read it but listen to it. He is basically saying if Congress can’t or won’t fix the problem he would use “broad executive power” to do so. Listen to his speech about packing the Supreme Court in 1940. He is saying the old coots needed to go because they are set in their ways, and they should go now so he could appoint new justices. You won’t read about FDR like this in recent history books. You have to listen to the man himself. Not just read the speeches but here them for his tone.
In so many of his speeches you’ll hear the same lines over and over. “If blank doesn’t happen, then it’s the government’s responsibility to make it happen,” or “now is the time that blank becomes the responsibility of the government.” He wanted the federal government to control everything.

Well of course a “void” is being filled. That’s what happens in any political movement - you appeal to a subset of the population in a new way. The parties have pivoted many times before and will continue to do so. It’s just that you always have to employ skepticism because it’s simply too easy to take advantage of people in this world.
