The fact that JFK had an affair with Marilyn and many other women is a very well known fact. To most people, anyway. Jackie knew all about it but put up with it.

Yes, and a long string of other women, it was well known then that JFK was a womanizer, but in that era the press considered it off limits. He had a almost daily fling with a White House secretary and her sister. Jackie's secret service detail worked with JFk's detail to make sure she didn't show up when any of the other women were around. Dozens of books were written about his affairs with Marilyn and the other women.
