Official plea to the Tiger Stadium DJ

If you read this board or someone who does knows him, please help make the atmosphere in Tiger Stadium classic again. There was a thread similar to this last year before the Auburn game and it was night and day between the previous weeks and for the Auburn game how into it the crowd was. Tiger Stadium is one of the most hostile environments in the country when you let the crowd go all out. With music over the speakers this can take the crowd out of it to a certain extent. If within your power, please let the Tiger Band and the crowd to be the primary soundtrack to the game this weekend. This is coming from a recent graduate who started going to LSU games at the end of the Golden Era and has seen the atmosphere slowly degrade each year. I know I’m not alone and hopefully this request will reach you and we can help make Tiger Stadium too difficult for the Bulldogs on Saturday. And of course, Geaux Tigers!

Let the band play.... needs to be a classic atmosphere this weekend.

It just needs to be a mix. The DJ has not replaced the band. If we are playing well, then the crowd will be in to it no matter what. I can tell you some of the bands songs get NO one fired up...offspring, Dave Matthews or hey baby really do nothing for the game day atmosphere in my opinion

You’d be better off posting an official plea to the student section asking them to please not insert STTDB into any song that the band might play.

We need to play Neck.. It’s as simple as that.. If the band played neck b4 opening kickoff.The stadium would be crazy. Somebody should start a go fund me for the fine the band would have to pay??????

Which shows how much you pay attention. They never play it in big moments. It’s always in the 4th quarter during a tv timeout and the crowd always sings along.

You are completely missing the point. It is far more important to get the 90,000 strong crowd fired up. If that happens, those 20 year olds on the field will feel the energy of the crowd, and it will be much stronger than a loud speaker blasting their favorite hip hop song.

I agree with this 100% and I have been going to the games since 1966. Let Tiger Stadium be Tiger Stadium. This is not the Arena League.

WE NEED TIGER STADIUM!!! Let the band play Neck, TIGER Rag and all the old songs!!! If CBS and the SEC don't want it on the air,,, don't put mics where they can hear it!!

The crowd can still get loud and make noise even while the dj is playing between plays (if that's the case).

Honestly they should take it all out. Live band/concert or the golden band only, seriousy! Make it happen!! Band should play every song they want. The bullshite that they can't pay a song bc of what people sing to it is crazy! They can sing any word to any song! And piped in music is just edited music also? Lol wtf so they pay for the radio edit? There is no band song that ever had to get edited

This.
If they want the crowd to stop swearing to where it can be heard on the broadcast, they need to tell the referees to stop making bad calls against LSU. That way you won't hear the crowd chanting, "bullshite! bullshite!" over the radio.
