We lack an ace. The bullpen has to get stronger. Honeslty, our starting rotation is hit or miss. The bullpen needs to be addressed to buffer those 2 inning shite shows Folty and Newk give up from time to time.
Bottom line is I don't like going into the next season with nearly the exact same lineup, while Philly added Harper and Realmulto.
Keep in mind AA didn't construct the rebuild, he's merely getting to play with the toys he's been handed, he's on watch big time.

I didn't say I expected them to sign anyone. My point was that a weakness from last year was not addressed and it's gonna be a weakness again this year.
Not having a reliable #1 makes it difficult to win in October. Obviously those guys are rare and hard to acquire, but we have assets. All that being said, AA has time to make a trade and address it. Like I said I'm not on the freak out bandwagon, but I'm a little anxious.

Kyle Wright was impressive today, especially since NYY had basically a starting lineup in. If the season started tomorrow, I think there's a chance he would be in the rotation

Wow. Pache has some serious range

Pache is Kiermaier level good defensively according to most reports.
Kiley said he thinks he would be a 3 WAR guy this season on defense alone.
A bounceback year offensively from Ender would be great so we can clear the way.

Contreras a little sloppy defensively this inning.

And McCutchen although he could very well be falling off a cliff. But if he at all returns to form... oh boy.

Corbin was out there...
And? Signing Corbin would have been idiotic. If we had signed Corbin to the deal the Nats did I would have wanted AA fired on the spot.

Someone said on MLB Network....if you alway have to get just the right deal, you will end up finishing 3rd with every free agent.

Wright looks like he should be in the rotation

Ronald Acuña Jr. Spring Slash Line Update
.429/.500/.893
Through 32 Plate Appearances he is OPSing a cool 1.393

need to trade him while his value is high. may get a couple of mid-rotation guys for him. or a closer.

The posters at Talking Chop would be fapping over the prospects that came back in an Acuna trade

What a cess pool of bad takes
Can you imagine what that place would’ve looked like in the 90s?

I actually like most of their writers, but the comments section is cringeworthy.
