Last year shouldn’t really matter although the committee is human so it might.
4 undefeated teams from power 5/Notre Dame would definitely keep them out. They wouldn’t have a space in a scenario like:
SEC champ 13-0
Big 10 champ 13-0
ACC champ 13-0
Notre Dame 13-0
The real question is whether they get in over a one loss power 5 champ. Are they getting in over 1 loss conference champ Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, etc?

That's not happening. The real question is whether or not they get in over 1 loss P5 champions if they're unbeaten.
