Very surprised we beat out Bama/A&M, but it could have been a time slot thing, especially Miami since that was on a Sunday, really helps.

Is this suppose to be a surprise?

People want to watch LSU lose

So many disappointed folks, including a few LSU "fans."

It'd have been really hard to beat out TCU vs Ohio State considering that covers the entire middle of the US. It's pretty damn impressive though that LSU vs two teams in the southeast are still ranked that high with generally the same area of demographic.

Thats because we're all at home and not in the stadium.... amirite?
nm - dumbass, both games away from tiger stadium

The very thing that frustrates some LSU fans is what makes them compelling games to watch. LSU doesn’t usually put opponents away. LSU scraps and toys and makes mistakes, but pulls it out in heroic fashion in the end. Always exciting to the end.

The only way you're getting on this list is with a nationally televised game on broadcast TV - ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC. Coincidentally, our two games were on ABC and CBS.
A game on cable is always going to have a tough time competing with the other channels.

Just a guess, but I don't think that's true. Both Miles and Orgeron have personalities that translate well to television.
Louisiana, for all its faults, is also unique. A lot of people travel here and have fond memories of it.
I doubt Cole Tracy and Joe Burrow would be getting the same national support if they went to play for Grumpy Sagan.

Not too bad. Good to have some later games and I'm assuming a big reason we keep the nuetral games, people will watch us.

LSU has also picked up a couple million Ohio State fans. Ratings in Ohio are extremely high for Tiger games

I wondered why Ohio St and TCU was a relevant game, then I remembered that TCU is good again. Michigan and Notre Dame are household names of course.

the fact that people still push this narrative is Very Sad!
there is a much, much simpler explanation:
Week 1, LSU Miami is *literally* the only college football game on Sunday. So unless you were tuning into Winnipeg vs Saskatchewan CFB, you were probably watching LSU Miami if you like football.
Week 3, still pretty young football season. Ohio St TCU may have gotten gameday, but many feel that the LSU Auburn conference opener for both teams was more justified. The 2:30 slot that day only had one other game worth tuning in...BYU vs Wisconsin, but BYU entered that game unranked whereas LSU auburn was a ranked vs ranked 2 top 15 teams that have produced ridiculous results that even a casual college football fan would remember (who could forget last years 9 point halftime deficit or 2016s last second pass or 2015s Fournette coming out party?)
TL;DR - there are much simpler explanations than yours, you idiot.

The Ohio viewing area is quite large and with Bureaux @ LSU there is a lot of interest.
The continued interest amazes me.

Team that do well in ratings usually get in the 4 man show at end of year. LSU on the right course Clemson or GA not in rating will be interesting to see how their year play out. Follow the money right.

A few? If we’re using this board, then about half of them.

America’s team, and it’s jut starting.
Georgia and Alabama games could make four of the top 10.
The more we win, the more eyeballs will be watching.
Just keep winning.
