I just wish we'd use these games to try MORE

Not less. We're not good enough yet to take these games off and run a basic offense or defensive package. Try exotic shite. Let these freak athletes have fun. Open it up. If we win a natty then yea maybe holds your cards closer to the vest. We need these game reps to execute more plays not less.

And deprive us of win-melts? No way.

True. The win melts are always epic.

That makes perfect sense, and most competent coaching staffs would try more, but we don't have one of those. We have a head coach and a geriatric OC that no other school in the country would hire. But they love LSU, so it's ok, right?

Same shite different year. Game 4 and the offense is still looking for an identity. Stupid penalties. Guys that you wonder how they are on scholarship? No innovation on offense. Why not throw the ball to the Rb and try some screens before we play uga and bama? I guess we will still be wondering about the offense come game 8 as well. We are cursed somehow on offense.

What a bunch of simpleton idiots. You know why we ran so much early in the game? It's because Tech wasn't stacking the box and running plays were working. A little later, we started to pass a little more on 1st down. Why? Because Tech started stacking the box and daring us to run. Sounds like the offensive coordinator was adapting to the situation. Why did the offense get stale for a while? Because even the best offenses go for spells in a game where it just doesn't click. And because the other team has talented players who are also trying real hard. Throw in an injury to one of our best offensive linemen and maybe you can see why there might have been a struggle for a while.
But you morons who know nothing about football can keep bitching because you love to hear yourselves talk.

Exactly. The fans defending the current crappy offensive play will be the same ones bitching when we can't complete those passes to the RB, screen passes, etc. against good teams like UGA and Bama. Why can't our coaches be proactive rather than reactive?
As far as our being cursed on offense, we certainly seem to have bad luck in the injury department, particularly on the OL and DL. Why don't our linemen wear knee braces? Other than that, I'm not sure what else can be done to avoid injuries except a better strength and conditioning program.

I don’t think we should really “open” it up but why not call stuff that you already used this season. You can’t hide stuff from other teams if you already used it in other games.

Why not open it up? Try new things? Etc. I hate bringing up Bama but they're a good example. They're up 40 in a game and still throwing bombs and running creative plays. I'm not saying we should show our best 3rd and long play or 2pt conversion or most exotic blitz but we should be running 95% of the offense by now.

We tried getting some young guys some reps. Those guys struggled some esp on defense. I highly doubt Coach O said let’s not try anything here. We have nothing to work on. Let’s play bland and win the game. If you notice lots of young guys are playing. They are making some mistakes but he’s building some depth at some of these positions. Y’all grime when he gets young guys reps and the other team scores. Then you gripe when Chessian is in the game late and gets hurt. Tech isn’t a slouch team. They are one of the best teams in Conf. USA. We beat them. Enjoy it.

It’s the SEC. It just means more.

they did in the beginning of the game, running some hurry-up pass heavy. Game got too close and didn't want to get into a shoot out so we played our winning card against them. That they can't match us up front and we ran the ball so we could win the game. If we got all flashy there is a real chance we lose that game. If you wan't more flash but more inconsistency watch some big 12 football.

Maybe you did not notice that we did try to open it up and play younger players and wound up digging a hole in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. We had to go back to all the starters and pounding the football up the middle because we let the game slip.

Execution is way more important. NFL teams don’t hide their offense every week and nfl d coordinators still can’t stop them.
