WOuldn't a MORE REALISTIC post be

Where would Nick Saban
If DREW BREES was signed by the Dolphins
THink about it

HE WANTED TO SIGN HIM
Docs told Dolphins officials "NO"

Had Brees signed with the Dolphins (a VERY REAL REALITY)
He likely would still be in the NFL

NO ALABAMA DYNASTY
NO ALABAMA POACHING LSU RECRUITS
And SEC TITLE year after year goes through LSU?

That would've been a better post?

Right, which means they weren't going to the BCS regardless of that game against LSU.

When LSU played them they were still in the mix

I agree with that statement being a good post. Not necessarily better. But les miles still prevents us from winning slot of sec titles. He couldn't change and Auburn has been as good or better since 2010.

Sad thing is that he wanted to. Les miles fricked that up with a 2 loss natty. Is les would have crashwd and burned saban would have his job back.

Probably not as many as bama with our schedule annually being tougher and not getting calls go our way 100% of the time from SEC Hq. I'd say we may have won 2 more at most

He would not have left Alabama to come back to LSU. “What if” exercises can be fun, but sounds like you are deluding yourself due to LDS, Les Derangement Syndrome

Too late. And they're well-deserved.

How so? 75% of the people on this thread are going to auto downvote this post simply because they hate saban. If that isn't the definition of childish I don't know what is. Kinda sad that grown arse men and women can't use some damn imagination for 5 minutes in their sad, sorry, life. I guess no one here is allowed to play sports games or fantasy football huh, too much imagination and prediction. Sweet fricking God, do I have to mention just how incessantly toxic the LSU fanbase is? I have never, in my life, listened or read more toxic negative "fans". I would rather talk to Alabama fans. Go on any sports forum, and try to find a SINGLE more toxic community than this one. The only reason I even stay on this site is because LSU is my team. And for the occasional informational, or fun post. And boy are they far and few between.

Exactly my point, good luck with your suffering. I'll continue to have fun when I watch, think, and talk about football. I love this sport and this team to much to not want to think about all of the possibilities that could of happened. To think about how much different something could be If one thing changed. That adds to the excitement of reality, to realize that anything could happen. You can enjoy your life how it is. But I promise you I'm enjoying mine more.

These threads pop up every so often and I have to laugh.

Quit comparing LSUSaban to BamaSaban.

LSUSaban didn't have the advantages BamaSaban has. Hell, remember games like Auburn 2004?

Regardless, maybe one or two more, that's it.

As great as Saban is at Bama, he's needed a LOT of help to get those titles. Not every program in the country has the luxury of knowing they can lose their most important regular season game every year and still make a playoff. Hell, 99% of teams have to win their conference for that chance, Saban doesn't.

Saban also lines up with the best players each week at Bama. He wouldn't have been able to do that at LSU consistently enough to have the same talent pool here. I won't go into the reasons why because I'll get banned.

Ultimately, any Tiger fan can look and say what if. Of course, we'd be at or near Bama's level if he never left.

But if he never left and took Culpepper, the Saints might not have a Superbowl. And the fact that that happened and we won 2 nattys in the past 15 years is good enough for me. appreciate what you have. mama always say envy is the devil lol

So he has 5 at Bama since '07?

I'd guess '06 and '07 and then less than Bama has won. Perhaps 3 since '07. So 5 total.

Saban + Bama will always equal more than Saban + anyone else in the SEC.

LSU would have offered Nick saban anything he wanted to come back to LSU AFTER his stint with Miami. Unfortunately LSU had another coach who was very good. Elevating the program even higher, although temporarily, than when saban left. If LSU had a major drop off after saban left on extremely good terms, there is no doubt in my mind that LSU doesn't throw the whole checkbook at Saban. He even when he left LSU, his contract was the best in the legue.
