The Minoans preceded this period a little. Their culture had collapsed a few centuries prior. The remnants were on its last legs, or had already been completely absorbed into Mycenaean Greek culture by this time.
Plus, they were well known to the Egyptians and others in the region through trade. There would have been more specific accounts of the attackers if they were well known.
It was probably not a single people or culture. For example, the Greek & Aegean cities destroyed might have been a result of conflict between those cities, and subsequent invasions by others seeking to take advantage of their weakened state. Egypt might have dealt with completely separate invaders.

Possible Celtic Tribes? Galicans of Northern Spain came from the Asia Minor Area of Galatia mentioned in the Bible. I know Celtic is a general term for hundreds of tribes but it could have been several Celtic Tribes that came out of Asia minor and Macedonia areas who shared a similar language.

I've always thought they were Phoenicians. oh well.
