Landrieu was able to win elections in Louisiana despite being totally out of the mainstream in her state’s electorate because idiots would repeat the following talking point
“Mary Landriue sits atop important senate spots, which means she is able to bring lots of important pork and resources to Louisiana”
And her office was very good with constituent services especially when it came to the O&G industry. I voted against her at every opportunity I was given but the argument you cite is not entirely bullshite.

She makes a sound argument. Can't really pick apart her argument. The only fault lies in that it is reason enough to vote no. It isn't.

Fortunately your evil, corrupt party has made an arse of themselves this week so hopefully enough of these women stay home.

Her argument could be iron-clad, but if her constituents want a conservative guy on SCOTUS, and she ran as a R in her state, then it doesn't matter what she thinks.

She runs as a conservative Democrat.
She votes like Mao.

Well, it's her vote, not her constituents. Vote your conscience and bear the costs. That's what a person with moral fiber would do.

I'm married to a suburban college educated female.
She's a big Trump fan

A well stated reason for a no vote. This is democracy folks.
Posted on 9/19/18 at 9:38 pm to Tigerdev
Actually no.
There is only one reason to vote no: the person is unqualified. Their political opinion or how they would vote on particular matters are completely irrelevant.

It's a charade. I wonder how many other "litmus test" issues she has..... Hhhhhmmmm.

thats rich. Some people dont even get a hearing for strictly political reasons. And you are here crying over well reasoned disagreement with his legal positions?
Posted on 9/19/18 at 9:43 pm to Tigerdev
Yes. Merrick Garland should be on the SpCrt. He was qualified for the position.
I would have voted for him. I would have voted for Gorsuch. And RBG.
I probably wouldn’t have voted for Kagan. Although I have come to respect her more as time as gone on. I would have voted for Sotamayor but regretted it in retrospect because she is an awful awful awful Justice.
See? I can be objective. You are incapable but I already knew that.

Why doesn’t Ellison’s accuser get any air play or go fund me action?
Posted on 9/19/18 at 9:58 pm to Fun Bunch
Easy to say when the damage is already done. Pretty meaningless as well.
The constant escalation of partisanship leads us here and beyond. The Garland thing will never and can never be forgiven while the same general people are in office. If you cant see that you are blind and quite foolish.

You are mistaken on the job description.

She's twisting herself into a pretzel to find a justification to vote against him. This tells me that the Dims's own polling is showing the accusations aren't resonating with undecided voters.

She is a filthy traitor kunt.

That is not true of all suburban college educated females!
Myself and 5 good friends all voted for Trump and continue to support his agenda. All of us have master’s degrees. (Education, Nursing, Law, Business & Accounting)
