Not guilty. No wrong doing. No liability.
However you slice it, Auntie Jussice and Auntie Pees ain't gonna be happy.

Or Sterling could have followed simple directions and the officer might not have turned into the Hulk

I agree.
Let’s look at the facts.
A felon has a weapon.
Draws it at a person who calls the cops.
I bet they have that on camera and if so there is evidence.
Alton, would have committed a crime at that point if I am correct.
Police respond and a felon struggles, fights, or basically resist a search.
The weapon is found on Alton who is a felon.
He was killed in the process of hiding a criminal act.
If I am correct or not please let me know.
The above looks like facts we know.
Now, the family wants to file a suit against BRPD, due to their family member committed a crime and resisted a search to hide a criminal act?
Is this not correct?
Now they dig up an email about one of the officer involved where he had no discipline action at that time to prove the email valid. He also did not have a hearing to defend himself as no action was brought against him at that time.
I know the city will settle, but this smells like a load of dog doo doo.

I just hate that we live in a world where armed felons being shot by cops means I can't get any peas.

Officer who fatally shot Alton Sterling called 'borderline nuts' in internal BRPD email, attorney says
Well that isn't exactly what the email says based on the article at the link and, if I was a betting man, I bet it isn't even as bad as what the article says. Typical civil lawyers, they get zero repercussions for flat making shite up in their filings or in their press releases. I am shocked they didn't claim he eats babies once a week to maintain his roid required protein intake.

Damn, I'd almost forgotten about Alton
He should only be remembered for his actions being the indirect cause of 5 cops in Dallas and 3 in BR being murdered. Not to mention the hell Nick Tullier and family have endured since he was wounded. frick Alton Sterling and his family!

I'll be able to tell you the verdict once the jury is selected.

Families? How many has he got?
With this civil suit, I bet the "families" are growing daily.

I have moved on and totally forgotten about that felon with a gun event.

A civil trial in Baton Rouge ??
They'll collect mucho big dinero $$ money on this one (even though IMO it was a perfectly good shoot).

No telling what Obama had set up for his son.
I think the city of Dallas should sue Jeff Hood's fake arse. BR should sue Gavin Long's family.
