Is anyone still buying into LVVV? They're still waiting on the OTC uplist, and they're still waiting on a distributor license.

Being real, are they just a small time local California player, or will they go nationwide/global at any point?

This is incorrect. Not only do they already have the distributor license, but they also just got it extended 90 days. California isn't issuing any permanent licenses yet, only temporary ones, and we recently got one that's good through 5/19. They also just extended that one a few days ago for another 90 days, so we're good until 8/19 before we need another extension (or hopefully they'll be issuing long term licenses by then).

What we are waiting on for our "big plans" is the San Luis Obispo county permit for cultivation for the large nursery project at our Paso Robles location (which will primarily be our clone operation). A few days ago we had very good news on this front:

Good day in SLO. The Agriculture Preserve Review Committee unanimously approved our cannabis nursery project. Now it’s on to the planning commission next month for final approval.

The SLO (appropriately named) planning commission meets on I think the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Our final approval for that county permit will happen next month now that we got the agricultural approval.

quote:

Livewire Ergogenics @livewireLVVV Dec 7
Couple things: the date for the SLO planning commission will be about the 3rd week in January. We will send out hard-date when available. OTC uplist is still in the works. Talked to rep yesterday, provided additional info they require, hope to hear any day.

After that, we get our California cultivation license, which should be a quick process. Things will really start rolling after that. The space we have for the cloning operation is big, the turnover rate is 3-4 weeks on clones, and the money is big. By the 2nd quarter of 2019 I'd expect to finally see significant revenues generated, and that's when this thing will really take off.

I think I am all tapped out with buying more LVVV until after the holidays but I so want to buy more right now when it's in the mid 2s.

There are two big changes I've seen from when we first started talking about this stock. The first is that the main focus appears to have shifted from the Coachella pods to the Paso Robles nursery. I think the Paso Robles clone nursery is a much bigger opportunity for Livewire, so that's a good thing. While it's taking a while for everything to happen, it's still all going according to plan. The revenue potential for that clone nursery is huge.

The other big change was with Mojave Jane. We had bought 5% of Mojave Jane with the option of acquiring 100% ownership, and we also had a deal with them to be their Master Distributor. However, instead of exercising that option to buy Mojave, they were instead bought out by High Hampton Holdings (which in turn gave Livewire 400,000 shares of High Hampton). In turn, High Hampton made the two guys who ran Mojave the CEO and COO of High Hampton. Strange turn of events. However, this now makes Mojave a very well funded company, and we will remain their distributor. Livewire will also be supplying them with raw product (Mojave does extraction) via their distribution license. This also gives us a good working relationship with High Hampton (based in Canada) since they made the Mojave guys the bosses now.

article on High Hampton acquisition of Mojave Jane

I was done buying, but today LVVV dropped into the mid 2s. I'm going to scrape together some money and buy another 25,000 shares at least.

Also read today that Marlboro is going to put $3.8 billion into cannabis. As federal legalization draws closer, we're going to start seeing tobacco companies and others pouring money into the sector. We'll probably see a lot more small companies that have licenses get bought out by bigger companies.

Marlboro pouring billions into cannabis isn't good. They're going to take over everything.

If someone like Marlboro scoops up Livewire in a year for a dollar a share, I can live with that. I think most of the big institutional money that will inevitably pour in over the next couple years will focus more on acquisition than it will on building from scratch.

The other option is for them to build huge then run out the little guys, but I think buying up the little guys is the quicker route.

I definitely expect some larger company to buy LVVV at some point and pay out a pretty penny to the shareholders. I am not saying it's going to be life changing money but should be a very nice return on capital.

Honest question - Are you guys looking at the financials filed with the SEC on these companies or going by the story and and trusting your gut?

So, like InBev buying out craft breweries? What they're really buying is the brand. It's not a "if you build it, they will come" scenario. LVVV has to build up the brand to be worthy of being bought.

Financials aren't coming into play too much on weed stocks right now. It's all hype and pump and dump like crypto.

Once it gets legal, and banks get involved, it'll be a different story. It's the wild west out here, and positive books have nothing to do with it.

Nah, this thread is glorified gambling.

Not hating, I'm in it. Equities in general seem like glorified gambling, just some people kinda know how to count cards or work in teams.

It's a process, not an overnight, flyby company.

There's more than numbers in the SEC filings. Some of this stuff is just ripe for fraud/stock manipulation.

It seems NXTTF might be fraud/manipulation but LVVV seems to have their shite together.

In the case of people I’ve talked to “I talked to this guy on the rig I was working on, plus it’s legal now” is the entent of any research being done

Right, don't want to paint everything with the same brush.

Best strategy might just be to avoid the landmines.

Think about it like this:
Marijuana is an industry that is about to completely explode. Think "90's internet" type of explosion. There's a million different ways to make money in this, as a company. Grow hemp for paper and clothes, grow hemp for CBD oil, make medicinal products, make recreational products, invent new strains, invent new delivery methods, gummies, vapes, etc. Company A makes the best vapes, company B has the best way to buy online, company C grows the best plants......

Just like the 90's internet, lots of companies are gonna have good ideas and fail to execute. Companies will start out with nothing and become a giant. Other players will unsuccessfully enter the market while others do well.

So, right now you have a lot of guys forming companies using the 1990's playbook. They're making IPOs, will pocket the money, and move on to the next company.

You also have guys buying these stocks using the crypto currency pump and dump style schemes. go over to /weedstocks on reddit and it's nothign but guys pumping various stocks.

In 10-15 years, it'll be fleshed out. If you're lucky, one of the stocks you buy today will end up being the next RJ Reynolds or InBev of Weed.

Right now, it's a crapshoot.

Yep, I actually read in the Altria article today that they cited this exact reasoning before investing 1.8 billion dollars into cronos. Some dude was like heeeeyyyymaaaan, it's weeeeeeeed; and that was good enough for them.
