Going to hurt the local businesses that make money off hunters. And I don't see how this is going to put much money in the parish's coffers. They might get some residents who are willing to pay $50 for a permit to keep hunting conveniently close to home. But I can't see non-residents forking over $250 to hunt land open to the general public. They'll either just go hunt the state/fed land at Pass a Loutre WMA or Delta NWR or just go hunt in another parish all together.

where pray tell is their land that is public that is anything remotely close to the spots down there..... I'll hang up and listen it's not in jefferson, orleans, st bernard, terrebonne, lafrouche, st charles, st tammany, st john....
