The STTDB Chant being adapted to other songs...

I'm all about having fun and I even LOVE to rub it in when we kick butt, especially after I've had a few. I sat in the Oregon section 7 yrs ago and trust me, they heard me ALL GAME. But, we all know Neck has been banned by the administration and it's not coming back. Unfortunately, the students have begun to chant STTDB during another LSU BAND song by Beyonce'. I just wish the perpetrators would realize that this is going to RUIN every thing that our wonderful band plays if they feel they can just adapt this chant to every tune. Trust me, I know it's a hype thing and students are liquored up having fun...but come on guys!

As another poster said awhile back...they should only do the vulgar stuff during piped in music. That'll stop it pretty quick.

1. It was played last year after a game
2. The students will yell it to any song or no song at all

you can't teach class. We're living in a classless society and it won't change soon. Get used to your favorite songs being ruined and then when they sing STTDB to our alma mater and other fight songs, the student section will be removed altogether and no one will be sorry for it

It's not going anywhere. The administration should just embrace it at this point like every other school does in regards to their vulgar chants

The more you try and stop it, the louder students are going to try to start it at any opportunity.
The AD caused this by banning Neck in the first place...students rebel, it’s what they do. Now it’s just a challenge to see how loud and to what they can yell it too. If they would’ve just left it and had the rest of the stadium learn the real words to drown it out it would have been fine (I.E. when everyone yells “L-S-U” while students say “Kick-Their-arse” on first down chants)

One thing that anyone who has traveled to a game or been around other fan bases will attest to...other fan bases LOVE that chant. People think its awesome. "Let the band play Neck" is a nationally held opinion by many major outlets. We arent BYU and STTDB is awesome. I mean Wisky chants "Eat shite, frick you" and guess what.....ITS AWESOME.

It should be perfectly legal AND socially acceptable to blast those caught chanting STTDB with a pint of any various assorted rotgut whiskeys that may or may not have been snuck into Death Valley!
Caveat: The pint must be at least 3/4's empty. Otherwise you may be charged with felony alcohol assault/abuse!

Neck was played at Texas Live after the game Sunday night and the whole place was chanting STTDB, it was awesome.

You are right. I was there. But Texas Live is different. No repercussions from chanting in a public BAR ROOM..no kids around to hear the profanity, etc... It's just a different environment.
