Playing rough with your dog

Any of you baws wrestle and play rough with your dogs?
Mine loves it and never bites too hard. Super sweet GSD just loves playing rough.
Other than playing fetch, play attacking me is her favorite thing to do (ever since she was a puppy).
I just hope she never rips my forearm off. She has great bite inhibition.
What say the OT?

I did with my pit before he tore off both my arms. It’s been difficult with everyday activities since Dozer ripped them off. Thank the Lord my old lady is around to light up my Marlboro Reds.

Is this a euphemism for beating off?

I like to do this with other people's dogs... normally right before i leave.

Trashy.
Scruffy pays someone to do that.
He will not damage his fine linen shirts playing with an animal.

Always got my arse kicked at tug of war.

Doesn’t have to be rough if you use peanut butter.

I raised a few pit bulls over the years up until about 20 years ago and they all loved to play kind of rough, especially with a nice thick hunk of rope playing tug of war.
I wound up making a spring pole for them to play with by hanging a nice piece of 1 1/2 inch thick rope from a smaller tree branch in my back yard that would give a bit when they latched on to the rope. That would keep them amused for hours.

The name of the breed is "German Shepherd Dog". It's one of the few dog breeds with "Dog" in its actual name. Just so you don't keep being stupid and all.

Always, always "win". It's also a good idea after roughhousing with a dog to just take 30 seconds and run it through a couple "sit" and "down" commands to remind the dog who's boss.

It’s still pretentious to call it a German Shepherd Dog.

But, but, Buffy and Biff paid a lot for their German Shepherd and want everyone to know it's not some guy named Fritz who herds sheep, therefore, add the Dog.

You sound like one of those folks who call Border Collies "Borders". Do you call cattle dogs just "cattle"? Pharaoh dogs "pharaoh"? Caanan dogs "Cannan"? Of course not. And there's a few more, FYI.
German Shorthaired Pointer is referred to as a GSP. Maybe educate yourself and take this as a learning event, instead?

Well, German Shepherd Dogs haven't really been herding dogs for 100 years. Like the Belgian breeds, they are more working dogs then herders.
