Apparently he really likes French Truck coffee and I hope he spills it all over his center console because I'm an a-hole

We in BR have had French Truck for over a year now.

It's good coffee.

Biggest scam in the coffee industry outside it's original use.

Even that was basically a scam.

In NOLA to an extent but for people that could barely afford coffee back then it was used. In France for a time it was legit.

Cafeciteaux in BR is much better in my experience.

And I’d say the Madcap coffee sold at Mammoth is light years ahead of French Truck.

There are lots of great coffee producers in NOLA these days.

French Truck is good at 'mass producing' a consistent bean.

They had a really great coffee producer in BR across from Parkview several years back. Too bad they were a little ahead of their time.

Try drinking the regular Cuban's coffee in Cuba ... not the tourist version. lol

It is coffee with "chicharos" (peas) not chickory ...

It is still there but it is not due to rationing.

.. the coffee for tourist can be sold at $ 7+ a pound.
Cubans can not spend 33% of their monthly income on one pound of coffee, thus coffee and chicharos

but yes, THEY SOLD THE IDEA as if they were dealing w the embargo and a crisis.

Everything is blamed on the embargo or hurricane.
